At USQ, candidature refers to the period of time from the date of admission until a dissertation is submitted for examination. You are expected to complete your candidature within the following time lines from the date of admission:
If you are in a research higher degree, you are required to enrol in a/n appropriate course(s) in Semester 1 and Semester 2 from the date of admission through to the date you submit your dissertation for examination, or be on approved leave.
In extenuating circumstances, you may be eligible to withdraw from your candidature without academic or financial penalty.
