Projects are an important vehicle to deliver University strategy via new or improved business capability. The project management services within SBMI are responsible for effectively delivering business projects whose outcomes have a positive corporate impact. This is achieved through collaboration with many other sections of the University.

Projects
- Payment Gateway Project - The Online Payment Gateway Project delivered critical specific and generic online payment capability to the University in 2012. The Online Payment system deliverables included the introduction of a standardized payment collection, reduction of manual processes, addressing compliance requirements, meeting the business requirements of 22 business units and integration with five existing systems. Improvement in the student and community experiences was the ultimate outcome achieved by this project.
- Contract Management Project - Optimizing the corporate approach to contract management has the potential to bring improvements in quantity and quality of services, the avoidance of service failure, better management of risk and reduction in contract expenditure. This project will address the people, process and technology contexts of contract management. Working with many staff across the University to reduce the complexity and unnecessary processes and simplify contract creation and approval. The project will implement a single repository for all contracts and offer the capability to improve whole-of-life contract processes.
