Ally Jensen-Swift Bachelor of Nursing
I chose USQ because it is a small and personal university. I love that all my lecturers have time for me. They treat my like a colleague and a future nurse, not a student.
I just recently returned from my second volunteer trip to Nepal where I worked with street kids and orphans. I really love working with children and furthering my humanitarian work. My degree allows me to put the two together - working with children in developing countries.
The scholarship I received has made my life so much easier. I am able to pay my fees up front without worry about a huge HECS debt, and I can also afford to buy my text books. It takes so much stress away from me and means I can concentrate on my studies.
Do it! Don't think you don't meet all the requirements or you don't stand a chance in receiving a scholarship. I didn't think I would, but I applied anyway and I did.
