Fraser Coast Regional Council Marketing Scholarship

The Fraser Coast Regional Council Marketing Scholarship is to be awarded to an outstanding student who has applied to study Bachelor of Business, Marketing full-time, on-campus at USQ Fraser Coast.

Scholarship value

The scholarship of $5,000 will be paid in four instalments in the student's first and second years of study at USQ Fraser Coast.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• be citizens of Australia or have permanent resident status.
• be residents of the Fraser Coast Regional Council area.
• have completed Year 12 or TAFE studies in Marketing in 2009.
• start their Bachelor of Business, Marketing studies, full-time oncampus at USQ Fraser Coast in Semester One 2010.

Conditions

The scholarship will be forfeited if either:

• the recipient changes their mode of study from on-campus to external or from full-time to part-time study
• the recipient changes their program of study to a different program offered by the Faculty of Business or another Faculty
• the recipient cancels their enrolment in the program
  or
• the recipient fails any course in the program.
• The Scholarship will be paid directly to the student, in four instalments throughout the student's first and second years at USQ:
  • $1,250 after the census date for semester 1 (during the student's first year of study)
  • $1,250 after the census date for semester 2 (during the student's first year of study)
  • $1,250 after the census date for semester 1 (during the student's second year of study)
  • $1,250 after the census date for semester 2 (during the student's second year of study)
• Scholarships are not transferable to other students in any circumstances.
• The Faculty of Business, reserves the right not to award the Scholarship in a given year.
• Applications must be received by the closing date and in writing on the USQ application form provided.

Selection criteria

Applicants must:

• have a high level of achievement in Year 12 or TAFE studies
• have been actively involved in extracurricular and community activities
• meet the eligibility requirements of this scholarship.

Complete the USQ Scholarship Application Form (PDF* 117KB) and forward it to the Scholarships Officer, Student Services, University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, Qld, 4350.

Applications must be accompanied by a statement of approximately 500 words articulating a vision for the Fraser Coast region together with the rationale for the study choice.

Applications close Friday 30 October 2009.
