McConachie Stedman Scholarship
USQ will offer one McConachie Stedman Scholarship to an undergraduate student undertaking full-time on-campus study at USQ Toowoomba campus.
Scholarship Value
Each scholarship will have a value of $1,500 per year. This will be paid in a stipend of $750 per semester after the last date to drop Semester One courses and again after the last date to drop Semester Two courses.
Eligibility
Applicants must:

be citizens of Australia or have permanent resident status;

be enrolled at USQ (Toowoomba Campus) in a full-time on-campus capacity;

be pursuing a degree in the field of Business or Commerce - which includes major studies in Accounting and
-
enrolled in their second or final year with a minimum of eight courses completed successfully have a GPA not less than 5.0.
Conditions
-
Scholarship recipients may be asked to serve 5 hours each year of their scholarship assisting to promote USQ as required by Marketing and Public Relations or the Faculty of Business.

Recipients must maintain an enrolment in a minimum of three courses per semester.

The scholarship will be forfeited if:

the recipient changes their mode of study from on-campus to external or enrols in less than three study units per semester;
-
the recipient takes a Leave of Absence from their program of study;
-
the recipient withdraws from study at USQ;
-
the recipient fails to maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.00; or
-
the recipient is accepted into the McConachie Stedman Trainee (Undergraduate) Program on a full time or part time basis.

The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient by electronic funds transfer (EFT) as a stipend of $750 per semester ($1,500 per year) after the last date to drop courses for each Semester.

be able to undertake 10 days work experience each semester with McConachie Stedman;

Scholarships are not transferable to other students in any circumstances.

McConachie Stedman reserves the right to not award all or some of the scholarship in a given year.

Recipients may be asked to participate in focus group research by USQ.

One scholarship will be awarded each year to the most outstanding applicant from USQ Toowoomba campus.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must be:

pursuing a degree in the field of Business or Commerce, with an Accounting major; and

in their second or third year and have a GPA not less than 5.0.
