Robin Yong Scholarship for International Students

The annual Robin Yong Scholarship is to assist international undergraduate students with fees or living expenses directly related to their University study. They must be experiencing financial difficulties beyond their control, and are at risk of not being able to continue with their study at USQ.

Scholarship value

The scholarship has a value of $2,000.  The successful applicant will be advised in writing with the Scholarship being presented by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• be an International undergraduate student studying full-time on-campus at USQ Toowoomba;
• have completed the first year of their course on-campus at USQ Toowoomba;
• have a sound academic record;
• demonstrated financial hardship.

Those students not eligible to apply include:

• AusAID students
• ELICOS students
• UNIPREP students.

Each applicant will be considered by the International Student Scholarship Committee.

Applications

Applications for this scholarship will open in May 2009.  Application forms will be available from International reception in Student Services, G-Block, USQ Toowoomba Campus during this time.
