Faculty of Engineering and Surveying Scholarships - $8,000

The Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will offer four scholarships to full-time on-campus students enrolling in any degree program offered by the Faculty.

Women in Engineering or Surveying Scholarship - $8,000

The Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will offer one scholarship to a full-time on-campus female student enrolling in any degree program offered by the Faculty.

Faculty of Engineering and Surveying Indigenous Student Scholarship - $8,000

The Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will offer one scholarship to a full-time on-campus Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student enrolling in any undergraduate degree program offered by the Faculty.

Ergon Energy Scholarship - $1,000

Ergon Energy will be offering one scholarship to a full-time on-campus student enrolling in 2007 in either the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) or one of the combined degrees offered through the Faculty with a major in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will be offering one scholarship to a commencing full-time on-campus student enrolling in a Bachelor of Spatial Science.

Faculty of Engineering and Surveying International Undergraduate Scholarships - 10% to 25% of program tuition fees

USQ Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will offer a number of scholarships to commencing international students from Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Pakistan, India and China intending to study a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree full-time, on-campus at USQ.

Faculty of Engineering and Surveying International Postgraduate Scholarships

USQ Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will be offering a number of scholarships to commencing International students who intend to undertake a Master of Engineering, Engineering Research PhD or Master of Engineering Technology full-time, on-campus at USQ.

Vice-Chancellor's International Postgraduate Scholarships - $1,000

USQ will offer a number of scholarships for international students commencing a full-time postgraduate degree via on-campus study.

Moree Plains Shire Council Scholarship - $40, 000

USQ will offer a scholarship to a student commencing a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) full-time at USQ Toowoomba in 2009.

The Shire of Moree Plains is the most productive shire in Australia.  It is located in the fertile Gwydir Valley and Barwon/McIntyre River Valley, in North-West NSW. It is a progressive, dynamic community, boasting strong agricultural industries in cotton, grain and oilseeds.  The Mediterranean-style climate is highly adaptable to alternative farming enterprises, including olive plantations and one of the largest pecan nut orchards in the world.  There are extensive manufacturing and support industries, and well-developed art, cultural, educational, sport, recreational and social opportunities.

Toowoomba Regional Council Postgraduate Award scholarship - $25,000 per annum

The TRC Postgraduate Award for storm water research is available to a student of exceptional research potential undertaking a Higher Degree by Research (Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Engineering) in the specific field of stormwater management. The recipient of this award will receive a stipend funded by Toowoomba Regional Council and will be directly involved in a research project investigating the treatment of urban stormwater for re-use based at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Toowoomba. This project is a joint research effort between USQ, Toowoomba Regional Council and Ipswich Water.

Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors (AIMS) Scholarships - $5,000 per annum

USQ will offer a scholarship to a student commencing a Bachelor of Spatial Sciences Technology (3 year Degree) full-time at USQ Toowoomba campus in 2009.
Mine surveying is a specialist area of surveying involving the measurement, representation and management of data associated with a mining operation.

Chancellor's Scholarships - $4,000 per year

USQ will offer three Chancellor’s Scholarships for students commencing full-time on-campus study.

Don and Barbara Stevens Scholarship - $5,000 per year

USQ will offer a scholarship to an undergraduate student commencing full-time on-campus study.

USQ Toowoomba On-Campus Scholarship - $6,000 per year

USQ will offer two scholarships for students commencing full-time on-campus study at USQ Toowoomba campus in 2009.  These scholarships are awarded to students in a bachelor degree in any field.

USQ Fraser Coast On-Campus Scholarship - $6,000 per year

USQ will offer one scholarship for students commencing full-time on-campus study at USQ Fraser Coast campus in 2009.  This scholarship is awarded to students in a bachelor degree in any field.

USQ Springfield On-Campus Scholarship - $6,000 per year

USQ will offer two scholarships for students commencing full-time on-campus study at USQ Springfield campus in 2009.  These scholarships are awarded to students in a bachelor degree in any field.

School Partners Program Scholarships - $2,000 per year

USQ will offer nine School Partners Program Scholarships for students commencing full-time on-campus study.

Distance Education Study Support Scholarships - $1,000

USQ will offer 16 scholarships for students studying by distance education.

Indigenous Student Scholarships - $2,000 per year

USQ will offer three scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students commencing full-time on-campus study.

USQ Springfield – The Bremer Institute of TAFE Scholarship - $1,000 per year for three years

USQ Springfield will offer three (3) USQ Springfield – The Bremer Institute of TAFE Scholarship to undergraduate student commencing full-time or part-time on campus study at USQ Springfield Campus pursuing any undergraduate degree.  All eligible students must have been enrolled in Bremer TAFE in 2007.

USQ Equity Scholarships - $3,000 or laptop or $750 book bursary

USQ will award over 75 Equity Scholarships to commencing and continuing undergraduate students studying full-time.

Goodna RSL Scholarship - $3,000

USQ will, for each of the years 2009 and 2010, offer one Goodna RSL Sub-Branch Scholarship to an undergraduate, mature student commencing study on-campus at USQ Springfield.

Goondiwindi Bursary - $6,000

USQ will offer a scholarship to a Year 12 school leaver commencing full-time on campus study.

Sinnathamby Commencing Scholarship - $20,800

USQ will offer one Sinnathamby Commencing Scholarship to students who enrol in full-time, on-campus study in a bachelors degree program at USQ Springfield Campus in 2009.


Commonwealth Scholarships

Commonwealth Scholarships (CS)

USQ will award scholarships to assist rural and regional, low socio-economic and Indigenous students, who are Australian citizens or holders of permanent humanitarian visas.
