Trimble - Ultimate Positioning Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2000 by Trimble Navigation Australia and the Ultimate Positioning Group to encourage undergraduate study in GPS surveying and spatial technologies. The scholarship will be offered to a commencing full-time on-campus student enrolling in a Bachelor of Spatial Science.

Scholarship value

The scholarship will have a value of $2,000 and will be awarded for one year only.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • be citizens of Australia or have permanent resident status
  • have completed Year 12 in 2008
  • commence their studies with USQ in Semester One 2009
  • have a high level of academic achievement in Year 12 (usually demonstrated by an OP 1 – 4), but consideration will also be given to other school, community or sporting activities
  • have met the subject pre-requisites of entry.

Conditions

Applicants must be accepted for the Bachelor of Spatial Science full-time on-campus at the University of Southern Queensland.

  • The scholarship will be forfeited if:
    • the recipient changes their mode of study from on-campus study to external or from full-time to part-time study
    • the recipient changes their program of study to another degree
    • the recipient cancels their enrolment in the program
    • the recipient fails any course in the program.
  • The scholarship will be paid directly to the student as a stipend.
  • Scholarships are not transferable to other students.
  • The Faculty, in conjunction with the donors, reserves the right not to award the scholarship in a given year.

To apply for this scholarship, you must forward a completed USQ Scholarship Application Form 2009 (PDF* 122 KB) and a Statement of Support 2009 (PDF 262 KB) to the Scholarships Officer, Student Services, University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba QLD 4350.
