USQ Equity Scholarships

USQ will award over 75 Equity Scholarships to commencing and continuing undergraduate students studying full-time (3-4 courses/semester) in 2010, except if exceptional personal circumstances prevent full-time study.

The USQ Equity Scholarships aim is to assist:

  • rural and regional students
  • those experiencing financial hardship
  • Indigenous Australians
  • those from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds (NESB)
  • students with a disability
  • students enrolled in non-traditional areas of study, based on gender.

This is a merit-based, non-repayable scheme and targets students experiencing financial hardship.  Scholarships are awarded to Australian citizens or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa on a competitive basis, and do not need to be repaid.

Scholarship value

The scheme provides for two different award options:
1. a new laptop computer (minimum software provided) OR
2. $750 book bursary (USQ Bookshop).

How to apply in 2010

The application process for USQ Equity Scholarships has not yet been determined for 2010. As updated information regarding the application process for 2010 becomes available it will be posted on the USQ Scholarships website.
