Toowoomba Garden City Zonta Club Bursary

The Zonta Club of Toowoomba Garden City is offering a Bursary for female international on-campus students enrolled in any undergraduate degree at the Toowoomba Campus in 2012.

Bursary value

The Bursary has a value of $1,000. The bursary will be paid in the form of either:

USQ Bookshop Bursary or
Applied to Tuition fees.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

be a female international undergraduate student studying on-campus in Toowoomba
the student must be in the second or third year of their studies and have a Grade Point Average over 4.5

Conditions

Female applicants for all undergraduate coursework programs are eligible to apply for the Bursary.
The Bursary will be forfeited if the recipient cancels her enrolment in the program.
The Bursary can be paid into the student's tuition fee account or USQ Bookshop account.
Zonta reserves the right not to award the Bursary in a given year.
Applications must be received by the closing date and in writing on the application form provided.

Selection criteria

Female applicants must:

meet the eligibility requirements outlined above; and
write a short essay providing information about their aims and goals, financial hardship, personal circumstances and academic standing.

Submitting an application

To apply for this Bursary, the applicants must:

complete an USQ Continuing Students Scholarship Application Form (PDF* 83KB) write a one-page personal statement in relation to the equity considerations which the applicant wishes to be taken into consideration, such as financial hardship, personal circumstances and academic standing.
