Faculty of Business and Law Postgraduate Equity Scholarship

 In 2013, the Faculty of Business and Law will offer a number of Equity Scholarships.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of:

• $1,250 maximum for programs with eight or less courses
• $5,000 maximum for programs in excess of eight courses.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
• be studying on-campus, external or online; or 
• be an international student studying on-campus at Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast campus 
• commence or continue their studies in postgraduate coursework Masters Degree, Juris Doctor or Postgraduate Certificate in Business program in the Faculty of Business and Law in Semester 1, 2013.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

• provide evidence of financial hardship eg Centrelink documents 
• provide evidence of academic achievement 
• have a GPA of at least 4.0 for those students who studied in 2012 
• submit a one page personal statement in relation to equity considerations you wish to be taken into consideration, such as: 
  • financial hardship 
  • personal circumstances 
  • academic standing.

• complete a USQ Postgraduate Scholarship Application Form (PDF* 108 KB) 
     
• attach a Statement of Support (PDF* 162 KB) completed by an employer or independent referee (note that questions 1 and 2 on the Statement of Support Form are not applicable for this scholarship)
