Faculty of Business and Law, School of Law Scholarship

In 2013 the Faculty of Business and Law will offer one Faculty of Business and Law, School of Law Scholarship.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of:

  • $12 000 for four-year degrees
  • $15 000 for five-year degrees.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status
  • be commencing in the following degree or double degrees: 
    • Bachelor of Laws 
    • Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws 
    • Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws 
    • Bachelor of Commence and Bachelor of Laws
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study 
  • be enrolled at Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast Campus 
  • be studying on-campus, external or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

  • have a high level of academic achievement 
  • provide evidence of academic achievement, e.g. High School report card or post-secondary academic history as applicable 
  • submit a personal statement indicating: 
    • why they chose to study law at USQ
    • their interest in contributing to the law and or business and law community 
  • demonstrate a history of involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community.

Applicants must provide a Statement of Support PDF* 162KB signed by the School Principal, Subject Coordinator or independent referee.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview.
