Faculty of Business and Law Year 12 High Achiever Scholarship
In 2013, the Faculty of Business and Law will offer a number of Faculty of Business and Law Year 12 High Achiever Scholarships. The purpose of this scholarship is to reward students for their excellent academic achievement, extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, community involvement and personal characteristics.
Value
The scholarship will have a value of:
- three year program: maximum $9000
- four year program: maximum $12 000
- five year program: maximum $15 000.
Eligibility
To be eligible applicants must:
- be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status
- have completed Year 12 within the last three years
- commence their studies in the Faculty of Business and Law in Semester 1, 2013 in an undergraduate degree or one of the following double degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business (BABZ)
- Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (BALW)
- Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Information Technology (BBIT)
- Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (BBLA)
- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business (BCBZ)
- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Information Technology (BCIT)
- Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (BCLA)
- be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study
- be studying on-campus.
Selection criteria
Applicants will:
- have achieved an OP 1-6 (or equivalent for interstate applicants), or have a high level of achievement in other post-secondary studies
- submit a personal statement indicating:
- why they wish to pursue a career in business or law
- how they believe their academic achievement, extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, community involvement and personal characteristics will contribute to their future success in business.
- demonstrate a history of involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community
- provide evidence of academic achievement eg High School report card; or post-secondary academic history as applicable.
