Faculty of Education – Dean’s Bursary for Academic Excellence for continuing students

In 2013, the Faculty of Education will offer one Dean’s Bursary to a continuing student, in an undergraduate Education program, with outstanding academic performance.

Value

The bursary will have a maximum value of $2500.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

• continue their studies in a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood in Semester 1, 2013 
• have completed a minimum of 8 USQ courses 
• be enrolled in up to 4 study units in each of Semester One and Semester Two of each year of study 
• be studying on-campus or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

• have a current Grade Point Average of at least 6.0 
• submit a personal statement indicating:
  • a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development 
  • a commitment to the pursuit of education as a career 
  • a reflection on your teacher education to date 
• provide evidence of activities undertaken that demonstrate significant and value-adding interactions with fellow students, the Faculty, University and the wider community.
