Faculty of Education – Dean’s Bursary for Master of Education

In 2013, the Faculty of Education will offer four Dean’s Bursaries for students commencing the Master of Education program.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $2000.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • commence a Master of Education in Semester 1, 2013 
  • be studying on-campus or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

  • submit a personal statement (500 words per criteria, maximum) indicating: 
    • an understanding of and enthusiasm for teaching as a profession 
    • personal reflections on the derived value this bursary represents to the student’s financial situation, personal circumstances and academic standing 
    • details of activities that demonstrate involvement in social services to the community 
  • provide evidence of academic achievement eg academic history as applicable and ongoing personal and professional development 
  • provide relevant supporting documentation.
