Faculty of Education – Dean’s Bursary for the Toowoomba FlexiSchool for future students

In 2013, the Faculty of Education will offer one Dean’s Bursary to a Toowoomba FlexiSchool student or recent graduate.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $1,000.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

• be commencing full-time or part-time 
• be commencing on-campus, online or blended delivery modes
• be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status
• be commencing a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood 
• have been enrolled, or have enrolled in the past three years at the Toowoomba FlexiSchool.

Selection criteria

Applicants will provide:

• a copy of the latest school report received from the Toowoomba FlexiSchool
• a statement addressing the following criteria (250 words per criteria, maximum)
  - a commitment to ongoing personal and professional learning
  - personal attributes applicable to the profession and reasons for choosing to study Education
  - an understanding of, and enthusiasm for, teaching as a profession
  - details of active engagement to the Toowoomba FlexiSchool community and the broader community
• details of activities that demonstrate involvement in community and social service activities.
