Faculty of Education – Dean’s Bursary for the Toowoomba FlexiSchool for future students

In 2013, the Faculty of Education will offer one Dean’s Bursary to a Toowoomba FlexiSchool student or recent graduate.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $1000.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
• commence their studies in a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood in Semester 1, 2013 
• be enrolled in up to 4 study units in each of Semester One and Semester Two of each year of study 
• be studying on-campus or online 
• have been enrolled, or have enrolled in the past three years at the Toowoomba FlexiSchool.

Selection criteria

Applicants will :

• provide a copy of the latest school report received from the Toowoomba FlexiSchool 
• submit a personal statement (250 words per criteria, maximum) indicating: 
  • a commitment to ongoing personal and professional learning 
  • personal attributes applicable to the profession and reasons for choosing to study Education 
  • an understanding of, and enthusiasm for, teaching as a profession 
• demonstrate a history of involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community 
• provide other relevant supporting documentation.
