Goondiwindi Bursary

In 2013 USQ will offer one Goondiwindi Bursary to an undergraduate student commencing full-time on campus study at USQ Toowoomba Campus. The Bursary is awarded in the first Semester to a student pursuing any discipline who has come from Goondiwindi or its surrounding district.

This scholarship was inspired by Margot and John Cory and Phyllis Gore.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $10,000.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
• have their principal residential address in Goondiwindi and surrounding district, defined by post codes – 4390, 4388, 4498 and 4496 
• commence their studies in a Bachelor degree in Semester 1, 2013 
• be enrolled at Toowoomba 
• be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study 
• be studying on-campus.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

• submit a personal statement indicating:
  • how the Bursary will assist them to achieve their future career plans
  • how this Bursary will assist them financially
• provide evidence of academic achievement, e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history as applicable
• provide evidence of financial hardship.  Refer to "Frequently asked questions - What documents should I attach to show financial hardship?"
