International Women's Conference Scholarship

The USQ Women's Network will offer one International Women's Conference Scholarship for a female student commencing a bachelor degree in 2016.


The USQ Bookshop bursary will have a maximum value of $1,500.


To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
  • be female 
  • commence their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 1, 2016
  • be enrolled at any USQ Campus 
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 
  • be studying on-campus or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

  • submit a personal statement demonstrating a history of involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community in one or more of the following areas: 
    • justice, health and community services, education, environmental and social service related fields
  • provide evidence of academic achievement, e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history, as applicable
    • have a high level of academic achievement 
  • provide evidence of financial hardship.  Refer to "Frequently asked questions - What documents should I attach to show financial hardship?"
