Maurice McNamara Law Scholarship
In 2014, USQ will offer one Maurice McNamara Law Scholarship.
The scholarship is in memory of Maurice McNamara who established the firm McNamara and Associates Lawyers in Ipswich which has been operating for more than 70 years. Now with offices also located in Gatton and Springfield the firm specialises in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation, Commercial Law, Conveyance, Family and Commercial Law, and Wills and Estates.
Value
The scholarship will have a maximum value of $4,000.
The successful applicant may be offered professional work experience in the year of the award, as mutually arranged.
Eligibility
To be eligible applicants must:
- be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status
- commence their studies in a Bachelor of Law in Semester 1, 2014
- be enrolled at Springfield Campus
- be enrolled in up to 4 study units in each of Semester One and Semester Two
- be studying on-campus, external or online
- live in the Greater Ipswich, Gatton or Lockyer Valley regions.
