Total Technology Centre Scholarship

In 2013, USQ will offer one Total Technology Centre Scholarship.

Total Technology Centre Pty Ltd is a local company focused on helping customers manage their print environment, regardless of what devices they currently have. They have over 15 years experience in document output technology which ensures their independent advice is supported by extensive product knowledge and understanding. Total Technology Centre currently has over half a billion prints under management with their existing clients. They provide hardware & software from the world’s leading technology suppliers, Canon and Lexmark and a ground-breaking print management software tool that provides insights into printing behaviours that were previously thought unattainable. They have been a major print supplier to the USQ for the last 5 years and believe that this scholarship is another way that Total Technology Centre can contribute to the community. This scholarship will give financial assistance to the student as well as the chance to do work experience at Total Technology Centre, providing real world experience and at the same time identifying potential future employees.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $5,000.

The successful applicant may be offered professional work experience in the year of the award, as mutually arranged.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status
  • continue their studies in a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce, with majors in Marketing, Administration, Commerce, Management and Leadership and/or Human Resource Management in Semester 1, 2013 
  • have completed a minimum of 16 USQ courses 
  • be enrolled at Toowoomba Campus 
  • be enrolled in up to 2 study units in each of Semester One and Semester Two 
  • be studying on-campus, external or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

  •  submit a personal statement indicating: 
    • a description of their career aims and goals
    • how the Scholarship will assist them to achieve their future career plans
    • their interest in working in the Toowoomba region, if applicable. 

Shortlisted applicants will be required to make a short presentation to Total Technology Centre on an industry related topic.
