USQ Rural Residential Scholarships

USQ will award a number of Rural Residential Scholarships in Semester 2, 2013.

The Scholarship is for one semester and is to be used towards full board (room and meals) accommodation at the USQ Residential Colleges, Toowoomba Campus.  The Scholarship does not include the semester vacation periods.

Value

Each Scholarship will have a maximum value of $1,675.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status
  • commence their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 2, 2013 or 
  • continue their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 2, 2013 
  • have their principle place of residence in a rural area in Queensland or New South Wales, and be at least 50 kilometres from Toowoomba City Hall 
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in Semester 2 
  • be studying on-campus at USQ Toowoomba.

This is a merit-based, non-repayable scheme and targets students from rural locations experiencing financial hardship.

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.

Students commencing study in Semester 2, 2013 must complete the USQ Scholarship Application Form (PDF* 147KB).

Students continuing study in Semester 2, 2013 must complete the USQ Continuing Students Scholarships Application Form (PDF* 95KB).
