USQ Women's Network Bursary

The USQ Women's Network will offer six bursaries, three for female students and three for female USQ staff, commencing or continuing any coursework award program at USQ in 2014.

Value

Each USQ Bookshop Bursary will have a maximum value of $500. 

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • be female 
  • commence or continue their studies in any coursework award program in Semester 1, 2014 
  • be enrolled at Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast Campus 
  • be enrolled in a minimum of one study unit in Semester One 
  • be studying on-campus, external or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

  • submit a personal statement indicating: 
    • a description of their career aims and goals 
    • a brief description of their position at USQ - if a current USQ staff member 
    • how the Bursary will assist them to achieve their future career plans 
    • understanding, enthusiasm and commitment to education 
    • details of activities that demonstrate involvement in school/industry/community organisations relevant to their development as an individual 
  • have a sound level of academic achievement.

Previous recipients of the USQ Women’s Network Bursary are not eligible to re-apply.

How to apply

Students commencing study in Semester 1, 2014 must complete the USQ Scholarship Application Form (PDF* 147KB).

Students continuing study in Semester 1, 2014 must complete the USQ Continuing Students Scholarships Application Form (PDF* 95KB).
