Vice-Chancellor's Principal's Recommendation Scholarship

In 2014, USQ will offer twenty Vice-Chancellor’s Principal’s Recommendation Scholarships to reward high achieving students who receive a Principal’s Recommendation for 2014.  The Vice-Chancellor’s Principal’s Recommendation Scholarship is a tuition free scholarship which covers the cost of the student contribution charge up to a maximum value of $24,500.


The scholarship will have a maximum value of $24 500.


To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
  • attend a USQ Partner School 
  • commence their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 1, 2014 
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study 
  • be studying on-campus, external or on-line
  • be studying at Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast campus
  • be recommended to attend USQ in 2014 as part of the Principal’s Recommendation program.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

  • demonstrate a history of involvement of extracurricular activities within their school or local community
  • have a high level of academic achievement 
  • submit a personal statement indicating:
    o academic achievements
    o involvement with the community
    o career goals and aspirations
    o reasons for attending USQ.
