Vice-Chancellor's Principal's Recommendation Scholarship

In 2013, USQ will offer twenty Vice-Chancellor’s Principal’s Recommendation Scholarships to reward high achieving students who receive a Principal’s Recommendation for 2013. There will be four scholarships for each faculty. The Vice-Chancellor’s Principal’s Recommendation Scholarship is a tuition free scholarship which covers the cost of the student contribution charge up to a maximum value of $24,500.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $24 500.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
• attend a USQ Partner School 
• receive a USQ Principal’s Recommendation 
• commence their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 1, 2013 
• be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study 
• be studying on-campus at Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast 
• be recommended to attend USQ in 2013 as part of the Principal’s Recommendation program.

Selection criteria

Applicants will:

• demonstrate a history of involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community
• have a high level of academic achievement 
• submit a personal statement indicating: 
  • their academic and career goals 
  • their reasons for attending USQ.

Students must complete the Principal's Recommendation Application Form for 2013 and attach a Statement of Support (PDF* 162 KB) completed by either your School Principal, Subject Coordinator or other appropriate referee.
