Vice-Chancellor's Principal's Recommendation Scholarship

In 2017, USQ will offer 40 Vice-Chancellor’s Principal’s Recommendation Scholarships to reward high achieving students who receive a Principal’s Recommendation for 2017.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $12 000.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status
  • have completed Year 12 in 2016
  • commence their studies in a Bachelor degree in Semester 1, 2017
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study 
  • be studying on-campus, external or online 
  • be recommended to attend USQ in 2017 as part of the Principal’s Recommendation program
  • meet the pre-requisite requirements of your desired USQ program. This includes any audition or other requirements.

Selection criteria

Applicants will complete the following selection criteria questions in the space provided on the application form:

  • list your academic achievements and the academic extra-curricular activities you have been involved in during Years 10-12
  • provide details of your level of involvement (e.g. subject awards, year level academic awards, music achievements, completion of USQ Head Start courses, team membership/roles - debating, science, maths team challenges etc.). Attach supporting certificates/documents.
  • list your leadership roles performed during Years 10 -12 
  • provide details of your level of involvement, time commitment and responsibilities (e.g. School Captain, Music Captain, SRC representative). Attach supporting certificates/document.
  • outline your aspirations and career goals for the future
  • outline why you want to study at USQ.
