Physiology and Pharmacology Teaching Facility

The Department has a state-of-the-art Data Acquisition and Analysis System for recording physiological and pharmacological parameters. 

The equipment is capable of recording clinical and research parameters on the whole body and isolated tissues. In particular, cardiovascular, respiratory, skeletal and smooth muscle and nervous system functions can be recorded and analysed. The testing of drug effects on all of the above systems is also possible.

This facility is utilised extensively by Biomedical Science and Nursing students.
