Science and Engineering Investigation Awards

PICSE - USQ will host the 2013 Science and Engineering Investigation Awards to engage primary and secondary school students in projects to explain science concepts.  Through engaging in hands-on projects in the Science and Engineering Investigation Awards, students will gain an awareness and appreciation of how science and technology are integral to sustaining our environment, society, business, development and other aspects of our everyday lives.

Primary and secondary school students will have the opportunity to competitively gain and create an awareness of sustainability by engaging in one of three different projects:

  • Category A - Communicating Science
  • Category B - Models and Inventions
  • Category C - Scientific Investigations

The 2013 PICSE - USQ Science and Engineering Investigation Awards will be displayed and judged in the McGregor Dining Hall at USQ Toowoomba Campus on Friday 9 August 2013.  Winning entries will be displayed at the USQ Open Day on Sunday 18 August 2013.
