Student clinical experience
In addition to lectures, tutorials and practical sessions during the Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-Registration) you will need to complete six clinical courses, with a total of 800 hours (840 with orientation/debriefing).
Guide to Clinical Placement
To assist students with understanding all aspects of the clinical placements that are an integral part of the Bachelor of Nursing, we require that all students read the Student Clinical Placement and Professional Experience Policy produced by the USQ Clinical Team.
This document has been created to explain in detail how clinical placements occur within the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at USQ.
To ensure all current students are appropriately placed according to their clinical enrolment, students are required to complete pre placement mandatory documents.
If you do not submit the required mandatory documents you will not be eligible for a clinical placement. More information about the required mandatory documents is available within the Student Clinical Placement and Professional Experience Policy.
Clinical Calendars
Please refer to the clinical calendars to ascertain when clinical courses are offered.
