Policy on immunization
Note: The following guidelines apply to both students and USQ Education Provider staff.
It is not possible to attend a Queensland Health Facility for the purposes of obtaining clinical experience (or teaching) without immunization for Hepatitis B. This is also the case in many non-Queensland Health facilities. It is therefore a compulsory requirement for all students (and teaching staff) to have supplied a completed 'Queensland Health Checklist' indicating that they have read and declare an understanding of the Queensland Health Orientation Package.
The above checklist together with evidence of immunization (Hepatitus B) must be given to the campus reception office well in advance of the first clinical experience (or teaching session).
Failure to provide this evidence and checklist will mean students (or USQ Educational staff) are not permitted to engage in any clinical experience.
