Faculty of Sciences Administrative Support
The Faculty of Sciences Administration Office is expected to relocate to new office accommodation on Level 1, W Block early May 2012.

How can we continue to assist you in the new office?
General enquiries
For general student support enquiries, your Student Relationship Officer (SRO) will continue to assist you.
Faculty specific information will be available via a number of touch screens located in the W block, level 1 foyer and operational between the hours of 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday.
Sciences QuickInfo touch screens will be able to help you with:
Finding a staff member
If you would like to find the contact details and consultation times of a staff member, you can use the 'Find a Staff Member' in the touch screen self-service facilities, located in the W Block Level 1 foyer. Alternatively, you can check your coure inforamtion within your USQ StudyDesk for the schedule of an academic staff member and consultation times.
Course content
If you have enquiries regarding your course content, please contact your course academic by adding a question to the course discussion within USQ StudyDesk.
Submission of hardcopy assignments
You can submit your hardcopy assignments as you normally would via the drop box on level 1 of W Block. If you have any difficulties a phone is available if you need to contact the Faculty Academic Support section.
Assignment extensions
In extenuating circumstances students may apply for an extension in writing or by email to the course examiner. This request must include appropriate supporting documents and should be submitted at least 3 days prior to the due date of the assignment.
Application for a deferred exam or special consideration
If you have an enquiry regarding deferred exams please ask us a question via UConnect > UAsk > Ask USQ.
To submit a deferred exam application, please use the Faculty Drop Box located on level 1of W Block or mail to:

Missed compulsory labs/tutorials/placements
Students who are enrolled in a course with a practical components, are required to have 100% attendance for the compulsory laboratory classes/tutorials/placements.
If you miss a compulsory lab/tutorial/placement, you will be required to provide:
- Missed compulsory lab/tutorial/professional experience placement form
- USQ medical certificate or a medical certificate with a doctor's practice stamp and signature.
Both of these forms are available from the stand in the foyer of level 1W Block. Please submit the above documents in the Faculty Drop Box located in the foyer.
Enrolment and completion letter requests
To request an enrolment or completion letter please contact us via UConnect > UAsk > Ask USQ. Please be as specific as you can about the requirements to be detailed in the letter.
Complicated enrolment or progression issues
If you have a general enrolment question, please contact your SRO. However, if your query is more complex, please contact the Faculty of Sciences Student Support Team via UConnect > UAsk > Ask USQ. Examples of complex enrolment include:
- non-standard enrolment
- enrolment problems such as pre-requisites and enrolment errors
- cross-institutional study
- accelerated progression in the BNUR
- exemptions
- eligibility to graduate.
Professional Experience Placements counter
The Professional Experience Placements section has expanded to include a dedicated enquiry counter (formally the Faculty reception). The hours this counter is open for student consuiltation are:
