Astronomy for schools
Each year astronomers from the Department of Biological & Physical Sciences travel to local primary and secondary schools to give demonstrations and talk with students about research currently being undertaken in the Department. For students to view the planets and stars, staff take a computer controlled portable 25cm telescope and demonstrate various topics in basic observational astronomy.
