A manikin wearing several dosimeters over the face. This allows the monitoring of UV levels simultaneously at several sites.

The measurement of UV on humans is a complex task. It is not practical nor convenient to place large measuring devices all over a human. So, in response to this problem, dosimeters are used. Dosimeters are small, light integrating UV detectors and a range of types of dosimeters have been employed in the research for the measurement of UV exposures at multiple sites at any orientation during normal daily activities.
The UV measurements group at USQ is one of the world leaders in the usage of polysulphone UV dosimeters for personal UV monitoring.
