To Glee or Not to Glee
You wanted it … we’re bringing it ... again!
Following on from the resounding success of our inaugrual Glee project at the 2011 Shakespeare in the Park Festival, To Glee or Not to Glee will return bigger and brighter in 2012.
In consultation with all participating teachers in 2011, we have decided to remove the competition aspect of Glee so, from 2012 on To Glee or Not to Glee is about creativity, fun and meeting new friends!
This year's project is open to secondary school and community groups who are invited to present a song and dance (5 minutes) based on themes drawn from the 2012 mainstage production of Richard III:
- Now is the Winter of our Discontent
- I would I knew Your Heart
- Your Beauty, which did Haunt me in my Sleep
- To Study Fashions to Adorn my Body
The project will culminate in a combined public performance as a one-night extravaganza on 17 October on the Festival's spectacular open-air stage at USQ Toowoomba.
Registrations are now open - contact shakeglee@usq.edu.au
Nomination is free - but be quick, places are limited.
