Black Box Shakespeare In-school Tours

In October of each year, secondary schools in the South East Queensland region are invited to host an in-school Black Box Shakespeare performance in the lead-up to the following year's Shakespeare in the Park Festival.

In 2008, three separate performances, co-produced by USQ and shake & stir theatre co toured from the Sunshine Coast to Goondiwindi, Gold Coast to Warwick and Toowoomba to Bell.

This year, Black Box Shakespeare returned with two 50-minute shows, Thus I Die and Bard Wired which toured into Toowoomba and Darling Downs schools during October.

The productions combine artistic elements of Shakespeare, poetry, humour, song and dance and support the secondary school English and Drama curriculum.
