Toowoomba Workshops

After four years of School Workshop Days in Toowoomba, we've decided it is time to revise and revitalise.

In 2010, we'll be test-driving a new formula; but only on a small scale.

So, with only five workshop places on offer, we have decided to make our initial offer to regional schools - in recognition of the extra commitment they make when travelling long distances to our productions.

The ‘Page-to-Stage' Workshops will be run in a similar format to previous years, concluding just in time for dinner and the evening performance of Twelfth Night on the Festival mainstage.

Students (maximum of 50 students plus 2 teachers per group) will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive 1½ hour workshop with an industry professional and USQ Theatre students.

In preparation for the workshops, schools will be asked to select, cast and rehearse one or several short snippets from Twelfth Night (a list of suggested scenes will be provided). By the day of their Park visit, students will need to know their lines in order to explore the scene/s further with the workshop leader before concluding the session with a performance to their workshop peers.

Please be quick – there are only five workshop spaces available.
