Namirea planipes

This species is not often found by members of the public in South-east Queensland because it prefers rainforest or moist open forest locations which tend to be within National Park boundaries. The very long spinnerets this spider possesses are distinctive but are also seen on the other common diplurids of South Queensland, namely Australothele jamiesoni and another similar Australothele species.

Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Australothele jamiesoni.
