This salticid species is very common in gardens on the Darling Downs. While it readily jumps from leaf to leaf, it also is adept at hiding in its web in a curled up leaf and then ambushing unsuspecting insects.

Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Opisthoncus mordax.
