This species has a flattened brown abdomen that is an elongate oval shape with two grooves running its length. The cephalothorax and first pair of legs are black. Holoplatys readily squeezes into spaces under loose bark of eucalypts. It is moderately common on the Darling Downs.
Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Ocrisiona leucocomis, Holoplatys complanata and Hemicloea species.
