The white markings on this black spider are distinctive although somewhat variable in appearance. This is a very common species in eucalypt forests on the Darling Downs.

Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Sandalodes bipenicillatus, Sandalodes superbus, Opisthoncus mordax and other salticid species with a similar body shape.
