This is one of the many small salticid species found in gardens on the Darling Downs and under bark in eucalypt forests. Being so small it is not often noticed but important distinguishing features are almost uniformly dark colouring, the broad, high carapace and the almost disk-shaped abdominal surface of the female with its white rim.
Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: A number of other small salticids, the naming of which is often incomplete.
