Habitat:
Under loose bark in eucalypt forests; well protected by its camouflage colours
Toxicity:
Uncertain; may cause mild illness and necrotising arachnidism and has some tendency to be aggressive when defending its egg sac; handle with caution

This spider is usually a uniform dark brown to black colour and has a flat body with an elongate oval abdomen. The legs curve forward in a fashion somewhat similar to that seen among huntsman species.

Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Ocrisiona leucocomis, Holoplatys complanata and Holoplatys planissima..
