Calamoneta species

Habitat:
This species probably resembles Cheiracanthium species in building a small retreat among green leaves and catching its prey without the use of a web
Toxicity:
Uncertain but a small species and therefore unlikely to cause more than very mild illness in humans

Calamoneta and Cheiracanthium are both genera within the subfamily Eutichurinae but Calamoneta species are claimed to be restricted to the northern half of Australia whereas Cheiracanthium species can be found over the entire country.
