| Habitat: |
Under loose bark or in leaf litter; the spider does not appear to make a web except for egg laying
| Toxicity: |
This spider is much too small to harm a human and the opportunities for an accidental biting are very limited

This small species is rarely seen although it and other members of the same family are said to be present over a large part of Australia. The main distinguishing feature of all hahniid species is the presence of 6 spinnerets in an almost straight line across the underside of the abdomen.
Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: None (apart from other hahniids) if the spinnerets can be seen clearly but many other kinds of spiders have a superficially similar body shape and surface markings.
