Student Representative Committee (SRC) elections

The USQ Springfield Student Representative Committee Elections for 2013 will be held from August to October 2012 in the following elective categories:

Executive Positions:

  • President 
  • Vice President 
  • Secretary 
  • Newspaper Editor 

Representative Positions:

  • Undergraduate Faculty representatives: 
    • Faculty of Arts representative 
    • Faculty of Business and Law representative 
    • Faculty of Education representative 
    • Faculty of Engineering and Surveying representative 
    • Faculty of Sciences representative 
  • Postgraduate student representative
  • International student representative

The USQ Springfield Student Representative Committee (SRC) represents student issues to Campus management and fosters student activities and debate.

To provide the opportunity to get the best representation, a series of elections will be held: 

  • The first election will be for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Student Newspaper Editor and Treasurer if required, 
  • The second election will be for the Representative positions. This election will commence immediately after the Executive Election has been declared.

Election of Executive Positions

The nominations will open on Monday 20 August 2012 and close at 4.00pm on Thursday 30 August 2012.

If the number of nominations received for the executive positions exceeds the number of vacancies, election/s will be conducted electronically via UConnect. These will be held between Wednesday 5 September and Thursday 13 September 2012. Results will be declared on Friday 14 September at 11.00am.

Election of Representatives

Nominations for the Representative positions will open immediately after the Executive positions have been declared.

As students are only able to hold one position on the SRC, those who have been unsuccessful in the Executive Elections will be able to renominate for the Representative positions.

Again, if nominations exceed the number of vacancies, electronic election/s will be conducted.

Results for all positions will be declared by Friday 26 October 2012.
