Life at Springfield

Students who study at USQ Springfield will enter a supportive environment dedicated to learning. The brand new, purpose-built campus is situated in the exciting new Education City precinct, alongside a range of education providers including schools and training colleges.

Facilities

Students at USQ Springfield have access to the very latest in program specific specialist facilities. Each room on campus is enabled for wireless connectivity, so students can access the Internet anywhere, anytime.

The campus also features:

Accommodation

Student accommodation is provided and managed by Education City. Education City is a commercial venture between Mirvac and Springfield Land Corporation and as such, USQ has no control over the operations of Education City Accommodation.

The accommodation is modern and surrounded by beautiful natural bushland. The student village is designed to enrich the lives of its residents by providing a number of outstanding recreational facilities, eating facilities, shops and barbeque areas.

Education City's Residential Accommodation has just introduced new rental rates. The modern, two to seven bedroom apartments are fully furnished and include kitchen appliances and utensils.

Employment opportunities

With the opening of the Orion Shopping Centre last year, a wide range of employment opportunities will be available for students during and after their study. USQ Springfield will assist students in finding part-time work to help them through their studies.

Campus Newsletter

The USQ Springfield Campus Update (PDF *84k) is issued regularly to inform students of news, activities and events on-campus.

Student for a Day

The thought of studying at University can be very exciting but also quite daunting. USQ Springfield will be running several Student for a Day sessions in 2008. Prospective students from the local regions will be invited to spend the day with us so they can get a taste for university life.
