Registering for tutorials/practicalsDepending on the course you are studying, registering for tutorials and/or practicals is via USQConnect Student Tutorial System (SETS), or manual sign-on. Students should only register for one tutorial/practical for each course they are enrolled in. Off-campus students who wish to attend lectures should submit a question via USQAssist or contact Outreach Services. Accessing SETSAccess to SETS is via USQConnect > USQAdmin > Tutorial Selection. You will be required to logon using your USQConnect username and password. SETS is usually available three weeks before the first day of semester to the last day to add classes each semester. A SETS user guide is available to assist students who are using the system for the first time. Faculty informationPrior to registering for tutorials/practicals, students should familiarise themselves with their Faculty's registering instructions and contact details for further enquiries. Faculty of ArtsStudents are required to enrol in courses with more than one tutorial through SETS. Students enrolled in the Music, Theatre or Visual Arts courses should attend the first lecture where the tutorial allocation will be made. Faculty of Engineering and SurveyingEngineering and Surveying students are required to attend all lectures. Students will be advised of tutorial/practical class attendance requirements and group allocations at their first lecture. Engineering and Surveying students do not need to register for classes through SETS. Engineering and Surveying students who are enrolled in Faculty of Business or Faculty of Sciences courses should contact the relevant Faculty for attendance requirements and group allocations. Faculty of Sciences (Nursing)Guidelines on the process of registering for laboratory and tutorial groups are available for all nursing students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-Registration). This timetable includes additional information including teaching staff, consultation times and meetings which are not shown on the University timetable. The timetables for the Mathematics and Computing staff are also available on this web site. If there are inconsistencies between the Faculty timetable and the University timetable, please contact the Faculty of Sciences.
