USQ Housing Advisory Service
The Student Services Housing Advisory Service is a free service and assists enrolled USQ students in their search for appropriate accommodation. The choice of accommodation is entirely the decision of the student.
How does it work?
All available accommodation is listed in the catalogue within Student Services. Only accommodation providers who have signed the University's accommodation policy are listed.
The Housing Advisory Service can also assist students with:
- advice regarding student rights and responsibilities as tenants
- settling disputes between tenants and between tenant and landlords
- budgeting advice and advice regarding all other accommodation issues
- student advocacy
- referrals to other agencies.

To access the Housing Advisory Service you must:
-
peruse the register of private board or Homestay accommodation then contact the provider of the accommodation to make the appropriate arrangements.
-
do not simply select accommodation from brochures or the internet but physically inspect the premises before making a decision. The Student Orientation Program is designed to allow ample time for inspections
-
confirm the accommodation with the provider who will contact
Ms Jocelyn Wilson, the Accommodation Officer on +61 7 4631 2210 so that the listing can be removed from the register.
