When choosing accommodation you need to ask the following questions:
- What is the distance from the university?
- What is your budget based on the cost of living?
- Can you afford the rent, bond, electricity, gas, telephone and food?
- What furnishings are supplied?
- Do you fully understand all the provisions of the lease agreement? Did you know that once you sign a lease it is a legally binding agreement? If not, then seek assistance from Mrs Jocelyn Wilson, Accommodation Officer.
- Are you compatible with fellow tenants/housemates?
- How many people would you be comfortable living with?
- Is it important to live with people who share the same lifestyle, culture or religion?
- Can you cook or would you like meals provided?
- Is there public transport available to get to uni and/or work?
