When choosing accommodation you need to ask the following questions:

  • What is the distance from the university?
  • What is your budget based on the cost of living
  • Can you afford the rent, bond, electricity, gas, telephone and food? 
  • What furnishings are supplied? 
  • Do you fully understand all the provisions of the lease agreement? Did you know that once you sign a lease it is a legally binding agreement? If not, then seek assistance from Mrs Jocelyn Wilson, Accommodation Officer. 
  • Are you compatible with fellow tenants/housemates? 
  • How many people would you be comfortable living with? 
  • Is it important to live with people who share the same lifestyle, culture or religion? 
  • Can you cook or would you like meals provided? 
  • Is there public transport available to get to uni and/or work?
