Job Readiness Workshops
Employability skills can be defined as the skills necessary for an individual to secure employment, progress in their career, maximise their potential and make a significant contribution to the fulfilment of an organisation's mission. They are often referred to in a variety of different ways including transferable skills, core skills, key skills, key competencies, generic skills or soft skills.
Careers and Employment conduct a series of Job Readiness Workshops to inform students on job ready skills and discuss ways in which students can develop strategies for career success. These workshops were run in Semester 1 at the Toowoomba campus. The PowerPoint presentations can be found below.
