Academic staff

Students with disabilities are an integral part of the student community within USQ and the quality of learning opportunities and services available to them needs to be assured in the same way as it is for other students.

Underpinning the 2006 AVCC guidelines are two key principles

  • to uphold academic integrity
  • and ensure universities provide students with a disability opportunity to access and fully participate in the tertiary environment, realising their academic potential.

Resource Guide for Academics

To assist with meeting the varied needs of students with disabilities and long term medical conditions we have put together the Resource Guide for Academic Staff. This guide serves as a quick reference and information source of best practice and strategies to assist in the support of students with disabiilities within your faculty.

We hope that this booklet will be a valuable resource, but welcome your contact for advice regarding any disability issues.
