Health and medicalThe USQ Health Service is a confidential, accessible, and affordable health service. It is available to all USQ staff and students and in some cases dependent children. We ensure that health services are not denied to any student by reason of financial constraints, gender, race or language. We are empathetic to and considerate of the values and expectations of students from other countries and non-English speaking backgrounds. LocationThe USQ Health Service is located in G Block at the Toowoomba Campus. Currently there is no Health Service located on the Fraser Coast campus however the Eli Waters Doctors Surgery in Hervey Bay offer their services to students and staff and can be contacted on +61 7 4128 4650. AppointmentsAppointments can be made in person or by phoning +61 7 4631 2386 (during office hours). Please advise reception if you require a longer appointment. Emergencies will always be given priority and reception staff will attempt to contact you if there are any unforeseen delays. No appointment is necessary to see the Campus Nurse for first aid and urgent health matters. CostThere is no cost to see the Campus Nurse. Doctors fees are payable at the time of consultation. The AMA Fee structure forms the basis of our billing policy and is displayed in the reception area. If you have any difficulty paying please talk to reception staff. All full time students who hold a current Medicare/OSHC/Medibank card are bulk billed. After hoursStudents living on-campus in Residential Colleges can contact their Resident Fellow, who will contact a doctor for them.
