AusAID Scholarships

The Australian Government provides selective assistance for students with the provision of a number of scholarships. AusAID Scholarships provide information on student eligibility, partner country's and applications processes.

The following information may assist AusAID students to settle in to life at University.

Academic information

USQ offers a variety of preparation programs and academic support and monitoring servivces to enable AusAID students to meet English language proficiency requirements and are assisted, where necessary, to complete their AusAID scholarship within the scholarship duration. 

Financial information

Financial information including establishment allowances, stipends and stipend advances as well as advice on budgeting and employment opportunities for AusAID students studying at USQ.

Student entitlements and responsibilities

Under the AusAID Scholarship contract students have certain entitlements and are expected to be aware and comply with a number of responsibilities.

Travel and visas

AusAID students and their families should keep informed of the requirements of their 576 Visa subclass and conditions, as well as all other Department of Immigration and Citizenship requirements. 

Returning home

AusAID students scheduled to complete their scholarship and depart Australia at the end of semester are required to attend the returning home workshop and final debriefing session to ensure the finalisation of all travel details, alumni membership and required documentation.
